Walk up ticketing only
Adults $100.00, Children 17 years & under $75.00, Co-pilot seat (may be available, restrictions apply) $200.00. Minimum of 7 passengers needed to fly. Plane take up to 10 passengers and 1 co-pilot upgrade seat.

The Liberty Aviation Museum
will be offering living history airplane rides on Saturday & Sunday, September 12th & 13th, 2026 (weather permitting) in our historic 1928 Ford Tri-Motor! Take this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to experience the magic of flight in the world’s first mass-produced airliner!
No charge to come out and just see the plane on the museum ramp or to see the FREE Military show outside! Only charge is if you want to buy a ride or tour the Liberty Aviation Museum!

No charge to come out and just see the plane on the museum ramp! Only charge is if you want to buy an airplane ride, participate in the pancake breakfast, or tour the Liberty Aviation Museum!
**Flight experiences at the Liberty Aviation Museum for the B-25 Mitchell will be offered in several time slots: 10am, 11am, Noon & 1pm on the following date:

Additional flights/dates may be added if demand is great for the air adventure rides.

**$538.88 ( $525.00 Price + $13.88 Processing Fees) (6 Seats Available Per Flight)
Approx. 25-30 Min. Flight
Max 6 Passengers: 2 Passengers in the Flight Deck/Nose compartment and 4 Passengers in the Rear Compartment.
Experience is: approximately 30min in the air, 15min of briefing and familiarization of aircraft. **
The time of departure is always at the aircrew’s discretion.
Aircraft will stay on location as customer demand, appearance agreement or weather allows.

In inclement weather, the plane will not fly or travel out to the museum so please call on the day of the event and prior to traveling long distances.
The B-25D Mitchell bomber, "Rosie's Reply" (formerly "Yankee Warrior") is owned and operated by the Michigan Flight Museum (formerly Yankee Air Museum), based at historic Willow Run Airport in Ypsilanti, Michigan. This type of aircraft was the most effective medium bomber in World War II and best remembered for the carrier launched Doolittle Raid against Japan on April 18, 1942. More maneuverable, lighter and faster, this aircraft provides the ultimate bomber ride. Michigan Flight Museum is a non-profit 501 (c) (3) organization. 60th Year Anniversary First Day of Issue Ceremony & Ford Tri-Motor Rides at the Liberty Aviation Museum at 2:00pm on August 27th, 2026
This free event is open for all to attend. The new Rattlesnake Island Local Post stamps and FDI covers will be available to purchase and the USPS will have the special Tri-Motor pictorial postmark available to cancel your stamps.
This year's issue marks the 60th anniversary of the Local Post which was started by Dr. James P. Frackelton on August 27th, 1966.
Also during the event Ford Tri-Motor ride experiences will be available for guests to participate in. Adults are $100.00, Children 17 years and under $75.00, Co-pilot seat may be available for $200.00. No presales available. Walk up ticketing only, weather permitting. Must have a minimum of 7 passengers to fly.

Admission: The show is FREE to attend.
Museum admission is required to visit the museum's hangars, boathouse, and galleries. Current Liberty Aviation Museum members are FREE.
Re-enactors are welcome to attend!
All eras of military vehicles, displays, etc. are welcome!
Watch many military vehicles operate!
The public is invited to display their military vehicles FREE of charge. Each military vehicle displayed at the show will receive 2 complimentary admission tickets to the museum.
Military vehicle parts, tools, supplies, literature/books, unique militaria, toys, uniforms, & more will be permitted for sale/trade.
Vendors are welcome to set up FREE of charge in the grassy area where the show is being held. No indoor spaces are available. Tables & chairs will be available to rent if needed. Primitive camping is available. All military era displays of all styles are welcome! Veterans groups are highly encourage to attend! Museum guided group tours are available with advance booking.

Rides in the Ford Tri-Motor are $100.00/adults, $75.00/children 17 years and under, Co-pilot $200.00 (if available), Children under 2 years can sit on adult's lap for free. All tickets sold for the Ford Tri-Motor receive free museum admission during their visit! Current Liberty Aviation Museum members receive discounts on their tickets with proof of membership.

**Please include phone numbers in the "Notes" section when checking out. Advance tickets are not timed tickets. Show up anytime on the day you purchase tickets for as early as you can but no later than 1 hr by event end. Times for the September 12th & 13th date: 9am-4pm, please arrive by 3pm. Aircraft needs a minimum of 7 passengers to fly.
Tri-Motor Rides are not service rides to/from a location. All rides depart and return to same location.
